The Walbar Peabody team was excited to attend the MRO Americas Show, hosted by Aviation Week Network and held from April 8th to 10th in Atlanta. We soaked up another wonderful year of this awe-inspiring event, which was even more exciting because, while we’ve been longtime attendees, this was our first time having our own booth!
With more than 1,000 exhibitors and 17,000 attendees representing 93 countries at this year’s event, MRO Americas defines itself as “the world’s largest gathering of the aviation maintenance community.” Industry leaders, innovators, and experts across sectors come together “to explore the latest trends, technologies, and strategies in commercial aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO).”
We were thrilled to learn so much and network with customers and fellow industry experts. And of course, we were honored to have the opportunity to represent Walbar Peabody on such a large industry stage.
Networking, Relationships & Customer Connection
Building new relationships with potential customers and partners and strengthening existing ones was wonderful. Customers were happy to see us, ask questions, and learn more about our capabilities, including our specialized services. Meeting in person also allowed us time to thank current customers and listen to their feedback, which is crucial to helping us grow and improve.
We were excited to connect with prospective clients, including those buying, leasing, or servicing fleets. While we’re passionate about working with big MRO shops, we want to be equipped to serve everyone, from the end user to the operator to teardown facilities.
Being present at shows like MRO Americas helps Walbar Peabody stay top of mind in a competitive industry. Attending such events is vital to maintaining visibility and connection with our customers.

Learning & Industry Insights
Of course, we also had a blast exploring the latest from vendors, including new technologies, tools, and platforms that can help improve our site. This conference is designed for leaders in repair and teardown, providing a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with both customers and fellow providers.
There are ample opportunities to grow through artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and machining advances. And with the rate at which this tech develops, we need to stay on top of change to evolve alongside customer needs. By speaking with our customers, we can learn what they want and need and where their business is. For example, they may be moving into new aspects of aerospace and have developing maintenance and repair needs.
Thanks to the diverse environment of MRO Americas, we also observed trends in aerospace and adjacent industries like research and development (R&D) and automation. There was even an engine maintenance competition, which allowed us to observe other aspects of engine maintenance!

A Legacy of Quality & Expertise
Walbar Peabody is known for our quality, quick turnaround time, and transparency. Customers are confident that we give them 100% every time, and we always inform them of what else they need. Customers trust our certifications and service—even when parts change hands.
Our deep bench of technical experts is committed to knowledge sharing and safe practices. We not only understand what customers are looking for, but we can also keep them informed of areas and changes they may not be familiar with. For example, we keep up with upcoming changes and requirements and tell them what their components will need to remain safe and compliant.
Attending these shows enables us to grow with the latest tech and set up our entire team for success. This means improved training, legacy knowledge preservation, and stronger succession plans as long-term team members retire and the younger generation steps in. Our tenured employees pass on the technical data and teach our incoming team members how things should work in the field, providing them with real-world knowledge and experience to carry forward.
These strengths have been a significant driver for our long-term employee and customer retention, allowing us to offer specialized services that few other facilities can.

Looking Ahead
Attending MRO Americas isn’t just about presence—it’s about growth! Events like this help us understand what customers want next and how we can deliver. As we often say, Walbar Peabody is focused on continuous improvement. We’re excited to keep expanding into new sectors and bring our expertise to more industries, such as R&D and government.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit our booth and meet with us, from our current customers to new connections to fellow service providers and vendors. MRO Americas 2025 was one for the books!

The future is full of opportunity, and Walbar Peabody is ready for it. We look forward to the next MRO Americas in April 2026. But to connect before then, please don’t hesitate to contact us today.
