Leadership
Joe Cennami
Joseph Cennami is the Operations Manager at the Walbar Peabody facility. Joseph’s experience at the Walbar Peabody site is vast as he has worked in various roles for the site throughout a twenty-plus-year tenure, including supervisory positions of multiple product lines, Value Stream Leader, and current Operations Leader while supporting the customer service aspect of the Walbar Peabody business. Joseph also holds an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) with a concentration in Leadership. Joseph is a collaborative leader. He has a passion for creating a team-like atmosphere, celebrating small team achievements while striving toward the Walbar Peabody mission of consistently meeting our customers’ needs.
Jim Demars
Jim DeMars is the Materials Manager/CORE Leader at Walbar Peabody. He joined the Walbar Peabody team in 1981. He has held several positions, starting out as a machinist and working his way up to Materials Manager/CORE Leader. He also served in the U.S. Army for six years and in the U.S. Army Reserves for fourteen years.
Paul Gelinas
Paul Gelinas is the Environmental Health and Safety Leader at Walbar Peabody. He joined the team at the beginning of 2023 and is a collaborative leader and results-driven professional offering over ten years of experience in EHS compliance in the aerospace and manufacturing industry. Paul has an Environmental Management degree from Columbia Southern University and an Environmental Engineering degree from Northern Essex Community College. Paul enjoys working at Walbar Peabody and appreciates the care and trust customers have for our team, knowing they depend on us to repair and deliver high-quality part on time—it is an exciting business!
Steve Mahoney
Steve Mahoney is a Facilities Manager at Walbar Peabody. He has been with the company for twenty-two years, managing equipment maintenance and wastewater operations. He has served as a Massachusetts Toxics Use Reduction Planner since 2003. He came to Walbar Peabody with a manufacturing engineering background in water purification. With a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technologies from Northeastern University, his strengths are in machine repair, chemical knowledge, and environmental regulations.
Wanda Crawford
Wanda Crawford holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a master’s of science degree in Operations Management. Wanda has over 30 years of experience in Collins Aerospace within Aftermarket Engineering, Operations, Continuous Improvement, Program Management, Materials Management and Quality. Wanda is helping lead our quality department to ensure the absolute highest quality for which Walbar Peabody has become known.
John Horr Jr.
John has over 40 years of experience in the aerospace business, having worked in nearly every aspect: Engineering, Digital Technology, Business Development, Value Stream Management (Propellers and Air Management Systems), Aftermarket Supply Chain Management, UTC Operations and OE/Aftermarket Operations. He is currently the GM/Director for the Windsor Locks, CT MRO, the largest MRO in the Power and Controls Business. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and a MS in Executive Business Management.
Zachary Scanlon
Zachary Scanlon is the Quality Manager at Walbar Peabody. He joined the team in March of 2024. Prior to starting with Walbar, Zack spent a decade as a Nuclear Engineer in the Nuclear Material and Quality Departments at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. As such, he is experienced working with Quality Management Systems to uphold the highest of quality standards. Zack holds a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
Ivan Barrios
Ivan Barrios is the Sales & Business Development Leader at the Walbar Peabody facility. He joined the team in March of 2024 and brings over a decade of Military, Government, and Aviation experience. Additionally, Ivan served in the U.S. Air Force as an Electrical & Environmental (E&E) Staff Sergeant. During his previous role, Ivan managed Military Sales & MRO for IATA 1 & IATA 3 at a Collins Aerospace licensed facility. Ivan has his FAA Pilot certificate, FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Remote Pilot certificate, and holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU).
Customer Service and Technical

Lúcia Sousa
Lúcia Sousa is a Senior Customer Service Associate for Walbar Peabody. She has worked in customer service for over thirty years. She started at Walbar Peabody 2015 and has assisted its customers ever since. Her associate’s degree in Accounting is advantageous when creating quotes for customers. She enjoys conversing with customers and ensuring they have a pleasant experience with Walbar Peabody.
Demi Fawohunre
Abidemi “Demi” Fawohunre is a Customer Service Specialist at Walbar Peabody. He joined the Walbar Peabody team in 2023 and has several years of diverse and combined work experience in the banking, hospitality, logistics, and supply chain industries where he grew his customer service skills. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a master’s degree in Management Science with concentration in Supply Chain Management. Demi is passionate about doing it right the first time in the shortest time possible when responding to customer requests.
Jim Payne
Jim Payne is a Principal Engineer at Walbar Peabody. He holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering. He joined the Walbar Peabody team in 2001. He has experience in both the foundry and forging industries. Here at Walbar Peabody, Jim specializes in coating and heat treatment, although he also dabbles in process improvements using Excel macros. He attributes his longevity on the job to the fast-paced environment coupled with the fascinating work done at Walbar Peabody.
Dave Dar
David Dar is a Manufacturing Engineer at Walbar Peabody. He started in 2007 at seventeen years old as a co-op student from a technical vocational institute with a specialization in machining. David journeyed through various departments of the company, learning multiple skills that helped build the foundational knowledge he has of the company’s processes. Following on-the-floor experience, he decided to further his knowledge by getting his associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2015 and transferring into the engineering department. David’s experience and knowledge focuses more on the MRO side of the company processes. He continues to grow through the daily challenges the MRO world can bring and enjoys supporting the Walbar Peabody team and their customers.
Beth Folchi
Bethany Folchi is a Manufacturing Engineer at Walbar Peabody. She joined the team in June 2023, newly graduated and ready to dive into work as an engineer. Bringing experience from other Collins Aerospace facilities, she is familiar with the high expectations that come with working in the aerospace industry. Bethany holds a Green Belt in Six Sigma and Lean Excellence Certification, bound to be useful in optimizing the processes found at Walbar Peabody. She is excited to make a lasting impact on the customer, not only through working directly with them as an engineer but also by improving the Walbar Peabody processes, flow, and quality of the customer’s parts.

Supervisors
John Altri
John Altri is the Senior Supervisor of Production at Walbar Peabody. He joined the Walbar Peabody team in 2014, coming from a background of operating several businesses in utility construction, restaurant/catering, and media distribution for over three decades. John has his FAA Repairman’s certificate and is an FAA-certified TIG welder. He is also certified in electron beam weld and thermal spray. He leverages that experience in his current position here at Walbar Peabody to problem solve and streamline workflow to help drive critical KPIs. John is excited by, and committed to, the promises we make to our customers here at Walbar Peabody on OTD and Quality.
John Minchello
John Minchello has had the opportunity to work and lead for forty years at Walbar Peabody. During this time, he has held various roles with vast expertise and focus in the heat treatment field. He is an on-site subject-matter expert in heat treatment both mechanically and operationally and holds a certified Repairman’s certificate. In his current role, he is responsible for overseeing the PT6 repair program as well as the OEM blades program as the Senior Supervisor of Building 2. His team has a keen focus on meeting customer delivery dates. Ultimately, creating customer satisfaction is the team’s first priority and the reason they enjoy what they do each day.
Chris Boisvert
Chris Boisvert is the Supervisor of Materials, Planning, and SIOP at Walbar Peabody. A member of the Walbar Peabody team since 2013, Chris began his career at Walbar as a Traffic Controller before moving to purchasing. He has also worked in sales and purchasing in the electronic component industry with several ERAI tier 2 distributors. Born and raised in the “Garden City”, Beverly, Massachusetts, Chris first furthered his education at Hesser Business College in Manchester, New Hampshire, before returning in 2015 to Southern New Hampshire University. Chris brings a diligent and focused work ethic to the Walbar Peabody team, where the goal is customer satisfaction. Learning from the experienced and talented team at Walbar Peabody gives Chris the inspiration to grow and better himself every day.
